0556NORTH: Arrest - Battery by Strangulation@1000 block Wedekind Road

Jovell Valenzuela, DOB 10/12/2004, was arrested on the above charge.

1015CENTRAL: Arreset - GTA / O&R / Reckless Driving / Hit & Run@Mill & Locust Streets

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop for traffic violations, but the driver continued driving at a high rate of speed. The driver eventually came to a stop when he hit a curb, disabling the vehicle and then attempted to flee on foot. Matthew Lewis, DOB 10/6/1986, was arrested on the above charges.

0059NORTH: Arrest - Discharge Firearm from Vehicle / DUI / Poss. of Firearm while Intoxicated@1000 block Sky Mountain Drive

Officers responded to multiple reports of shots being fired and located multiple casings. There were no reported injuries. During the investigation they located an occupied vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle and made contact with the occupant. Christopher Urquilla, DOB 6/11/1996, was arrested on the above charges.

1804CENTRAL: Arrest - Battery on Elderly Person / O&R @1000 block East 6th Street

The victim and suspect were involved in an altercation when the suspect grabbed a brick and threatened the victim. Elijah Moreno, DOB 6/9/1998, was arrested on the above charges.

1121NORTH: Arrest - Child Abuse or Neglect / Domestic Battery@50 Block Vine Street

Police responded to a battery call. The father had called CPS regarding the battery. CPS responded to the father's home and met with him and his daughter. They advised to call police to report the incident. CPS left prior to police arriving. Officers interviewed the daughter who disclosed that while in the sole care of her mother two days earlier she had been battered by her mother. The child had bruising and marks consistent with the manner and mechanism described by the juvenile. Officers responded to the mother's residence and interviewed the mother who made admissions regarding the incident that matched her daughter's statement. Neshawn OBrien-Zglinski, DOB 12/9/1989 was arrested on the above charges.

1138NORTH: Arrest - Prohibited Person Possession Firearm/ADW/Child Endangerment/PCS@1000 Block Wedekind Road

Police were called on a report of a domestic disturbance. The male half called police reporting the mother of his children had just taken his car. While enroute the female half called police and reported both parties were in front of their residence. She told dispatch the male half was in possession of a firearm. Police arrived and met with the female and her child. She reported the male half had pointed a handgun at her and threatened homicide and suicide; the child was present at the time. The male was not on scene initially but returned while police were still investigating. He was detained by officers who discovered a box of ammunition inside the car in plain view. Jimmy Walker, DOB 5/1/1983 was arrested on the above charges.

1212CENTRAL: Arrest - Domestic Battery, Battery on an Officer@East 4th Street/Sage Street

Officers responded on a report of a domestic disturbance then contacted and detained the female and male involved. The male was found to be the primary physical aggressor in a domestic battery and was taken into custody. When officers attempted to place him in the back of a patrol car he spun around and head butted an officer in the chin. He was taken to the ground and placed in a WRAP immobilization device. Lajeune Gay, DOB 6/11/1978 was arrested on the above charges.

2308CENTRAL: Arrest - DUI and O/R@South Virginia Street/Moran Street

Upon arrival, Officers learned one of the drivers of a motorcycle was impaired. Officers conducted a DUI investigation and later arrested the driver for DUI. When he was being placed into handcuffs, he resisted officers and was taken to the ground.

Darrel Vanegas, DOB 8/18/1991 was arrested on the above charges.

1156NORTH: BDW, Shooting@2000 block Dyer Way

Officers responded to a report of a shooting and located multiple casings. During the investigation they learned the victim had been transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening gun shot wounds. The investigation is ongoing.

1250CENTRAL: Robbery@Market & Redwood

The victim had met up with two acquaintances and they drove to the above location. Shortly after arriving another subject arrived. This subject was armed with a gun and demanded the victims property. The suspect is described as: B/M/A, face tatttoo, LSW gray hoodie.

1459NORTH: ADW, Firearm @11th & North Sierra Streets

The victim had just stopped his vehicle on the side of the road when the unknown suspect pulled in behind him and exited his vehicle. The suspect then approached the victim as he sat in his vehicle and pointed a gun at him. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and drive off. The suspect is described as: W/M/A, mid fifties to early sixties, large build, 6' tall, full beard, LSW black and white striped polo shirt, tan pants.

1309CENTRAL: Arrest - Trouble Unknown - Barricaded Subject - SWAT Call Out@300 Block Kirman Avenue

Officers responded to a a call as the reporting party was hearing someone yell threats to shoot people and kill people. Officers identified the source of the threats. Officers attempted to negotiate without success.

After an extended period of negotiating SWAT was activated and took the suspect into custody for his warrant as well as charges stemming from today's call. Ryan Lindsey, DOB 12/22/1992 was arrested on the above charges.

1401SOUTH: Arrest - Battery on a Protected Person , O&R, Battery, Injured Officer, UOF@6000 Block South Virginia Street

Officers responded on a report of a female causing a disturbance. An officer arrived and was pointed towards the female who had left the store but was continuing to cause a disturbance. The female was instantly uncooperative as the officer attempted to detain her. Angela Brown, DOB 2/2/1972 was arrested on the above charges.

1818SOUTH: Arrest - O&R, Petit Larceny, Use of Force@6000 Block Sierra Center Parkway

Officers responded on a report of a larceny. Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect. When they attempted to contact the suspect he ran and was taken to the ground and arrested. Joseph Schladant, DOB 10/18/1990 was arrested on the above charges.

2129SOUTH: Arrest - ADW with a Knife, O&R@2000 Block South Virginia Street

Officers were dispatched for an ADW with a knife. After the ADW the suspect ran. Officers flooded the area quickly and located two potential matching suspects. Via surveillance footage and a positive field identification Officers were able to positively identify one of the suspects detained as the suspect in the ADW. Officers located the clothing and bandana he wore during the ADW hidden under his sweatshirt. Jessy Wootten, DOB 7/7/1992 was arrested on the above charges.

The victims were walking in the above area when they were approached by the suspect who was holding a large rock. The suspect asked them a question and when the victims ignored him he struck one of them in the head with the rock. Frank Cavataio, DOB 8/9/1986, was arrested on the above charge.

The victim and suspect were known to each other and today became involved in verbal argument. The argument turned physical when the suspect struck the victim in the head and then began to strangle her. Troy Mays, DOB 4/19/1964, was arrested on the above charges.

0040NORTH: Arrest - Vehicle Burglary Investigation@5000 Block Bankside Way/5000 Block Promontory Way

Officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle whose occupants were trying door handles to other vehicles in the neighborhood. The suspect vehicle left prior to officer arrival but was located shortly there after. The vehicle was stopped and discovered to be occupied by 3 subjects. Officers gained consent to search the vehicle during which a wallet was located which was later determined to have been stolen. Gabriel Rodriguez, DOB 6/5/2005, Jonathan Ayala-Mora, DOB 9/7/2006 and a Juvenile Female were arrested on the above charges.
