While walking home, victims were approached, punched from behind, and robbed of personal property by an unknown suspect. The suspect was described as W/M wearing dark clothing. The suspect was gone on arrival.

The victims stopped their car, got out and attempted to help a subject who was being chased by a suspect who had a crowbar. The suspect then turned towards the victims and began hitting them with the crowbar. Both the suspects then got into the victims vehicle and fled. The suspects are described as: #1 W/M/A, mid twenties to mid thirties, 5’6” tall, 160 lbs., LSW a blue hooded sweatshirt & blue jeans. #2 W/F/A, mid twenties, 5’ tall, 150 lbs., LSW a black hoodie with white lettering and black jeans.

Reno, NV – The Reno Police Department will begin accepting applications for the position of Police Recruit from April 17th, 2017 through 5:00 pm May 19th, 2017.
The minimum requirements for interested persons to apply are:
We are looking for a diverse pool of qualified applicants who have traits and characteristics to include treating everyone fairly, having a high level of integrity, respect for others, as well as a commitment to service.
Upon selection, recruits will attend the Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy. Recruits attending the academy will be paid as City of Reno employees and receive a beginning wage of approximately $51,700 per year, full time medical, dental and vision benefits after thirty days of employment. The department will issue the majority of the equipment needed while in the academy.

The victim was at this location to sell property for a friend when he was approached by the suspects, some of whom were armed. Officers responded to a report of someone screaming and playing music loudly. When they arrived the suspect threatened them with a gun and refused to exit the residence. The suspect finally exited and James Davis, DOB 5/25/1962, was arrested on the above charges.

The victim was sitting inside his parked vehicle when a vehicle occupied by the suspects approached and one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and drove off. The vehicle returned a short time later and one of the suspects threw a rock at the victim’s car breaking his windshield and then drove off. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned a couple hours later and had been reported as stolen. The suspects are only described as: 2 W/M/A’s, mid twenties, short hair.
