The Reno Police Department is introducing the Mental Health Online Registry (MHOR). A
voluntary program designed to provide first responders with vital information about
individuals’ mental or physical health conditions. This resource helps police, fire, EMS,
records staff, mental health clinicians, and dispatch personnel respond with greater
safety, dignity, and effectiveness during emergencies.

Participants may submit details such as:

• Diagnoses that may impact behavior
• Preferred communication methods
• Known triggers or stressors
• Effective calming techniques
• Medical or safety considerations (e.g., seizures, mobility issues, dementia)

All information will be securely stored and accessible only to authorized first responders in
the performance of their official duties. Information will not be shared with outside
agencies without legal authority or consent. Community members who register for this
program may opt out at any time.
To register, visit renopd.com/mhor. Submissions will be reviewed by our Mobile Outreach
Safety Team (MOST) clinicians. Updates or removal requests can be directed to the RPD
Mental Health Outreach Supervisor. This initiative is made possible through the
collaboration of our MOST clinicians and reflects our commitment to trauma-informed
care, compassion, and effective crisis response.
