0217South: Attempted Armed Robbery@200 block of Cheney

The victims were approached from behind by the suspect who displayed a gun and demanded their money. Both victims fled without giving the suspect money. The suspect is described as: H/M/A, 5'5" - 5'7" tall, LSW a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.

1017Centeral: Arrest - Jaywalking/O&R/PCS@5th & Virginia Streets

Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect for Jaywalking. The suspect refused to identify himself and attempted to flee. A struggle ensued and the suspect attempted to hit the officers. Steven Ramirez, DOB 9/27/1988, was arrested on the above charges.

1830Central: Arrest - PCS/PCS for Sales/Trafficking@4th & Spokane Street

Officers observed an occupied vehicle with no rear plate and conducted a stop. During their investigation they discovered a controlled substance. The passenger, Coell Pressler, DOB 10/6/1975, was arrested on the above charges.

Robert Gillis, DOB 8/3/1980, was arrested on the above charges.

1904South: Strong Armed Robbery@5000 block South McCarran Blvd.

The suspect approached the cashier, simulated he had a gun, and demanded the money. Total loss is not known at this time. The suspect is described as: W/M/A, 5'7" tall, 200 lbs., grayish beard, LSW a black jacket with "ECHO" on it, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

2038Central: Arrest - Petit Larceny/Battery/O&R/Larceny@200 block East 4th Street

The victims confronted the suspect who had stolen property from them when a fight ensued. The suspect then proceeded to batter one of the victims and fled as Officers arrived. The suspect was located a short time and during the investigation Officers learned the suspect had also committed larcenies.  Marc Smith, DOB 8/2/1990, was arrested on the above charges.

Arrested: Rodriguez, Juan DOB: 3-21-1986

Case#20-3535

1102                       North: Shots Fired@1300 blk Stardust

Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area. Once on scene several 9mm shell casings were found in the street, as well as a bullet strike. No one claimed to be a victim, no injuries.

2205                       North: BDW Domestic, Trafficking Level III, Ex-Felon possess Stun Device@7700 blk Fowler

The Defendant confronted the Victim/Defendant by entering his bedroom and shocking him with an electronic stun device. The Defendant returned with a machete and attempted to cut the Victim/Defendant, hacking at him with a machete. The Victim/Defendant caught the machete and was struck in the left arm causing a deep wound requiring medical attention.  The Defendant is a prior convicted felon.  Narcotics were located in the Defendant's purse.  The Victim/Defendant was cited for violation of an EPO.   The Defendant was booked without incident.

The suspect and victim were involved in an altercation when the suspect attempted to run over the victim with a vehicle while the victim was standing in his driveway. The suspect fled prior to officers arrival but was located a short time later. Brandon Hart, DOB 5/15/1982, was arrested on the above charges.

Officer responded to the listed address on the report of a trouble unknown where a male was trying to force entry into an apartment.  The suspect was detained outside of the apartment and became uncooperative. The suspect then calmed down and was being escorted to a patrol vehicle when he began fighting officers and kicking them.  It was learned this was a domestic where the suspect threatened his wife with a knife while making threats and battering her.

Officers responded for an in-custody trespass. The defendant was arrested.

1534                       South: ADW x2 / Ex-felon possession of firearm@1000 blk Telegraph

Officers responded to the listed address on report of a subject with a gun. The victims stated the suspect arrived at the storage unit and demanded property. When the victims refused the suspect pulled out a concealed handgun and threatened the victims. Officers arrived on scene and detained the suspect. The firearm was located and confirmed stolen. Suspect has several felony convictions. Suspect also gave officers an ID not belonging to him to try and hide his true identify.

Arrested: Novak, James 4/29/90 (ADW x2, CCW, ex-felon possession of firearm, possession of stolen firearm, burglary with deadly weapon, identity theft, unrelated felony warrant)

Officers observed a vehicle that, a couple hours before, the driver pointed a handgun at the victims while driving. The driver/suspect of the vehicle was stopped and he was arrested for ADW. Two handguns, a shotgun and rifle were located in his vehicle.

An RPD Officer observed a stolen vehicle being driven NB on wells and initiated a traffic stop. Officers located narcotics in the car during a search of the vehicle.

Officers responded in reference to one in custody for trespass who was fighting with security.  In the process of detaining the suspect, she attempted to punch one security guard, and bit another on the leg.  Once detained by officers she began violently kicking the inside of a patrol car.

The suspect has been seen in the past loitering around the property and today he began looking into the windows and ringing the doorbell. When the victim went out to confront the suspect he produced a screwdriver and then fled. Officers located the suspect a short time later. He refused to obey their commands and confirm that he no longer had a weapon and refused to identify himself.  The suspect was booked as John Doe, DOB 1/1/1985.

1320North: Arrest - Poss. of Firearm with Obliterated Serial #/Poss. of Dangerous Drug without a Script/Poss. Narcotics@Gypsum & Mica

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. They located the vehicle parked and occupied by 2 subjects who were found to be in possession of a firearm and prescriptions in someone else's name. The 2 subjects, both juveniles, were arrested on the above charges.

The victim was exiting his vehicle when the suspect vehicle struck him causing him to twist his ankle. The victim and suspect then became involved in a physical altercation before the suspect fled. The victim injury is non-life threatening. The suspect is described as: A/M/A, 5'9" tall, 160 lbs., LSW a black jacket and jeans

The victim and suspect were involved in a traffic-related misunderstanding and exchanged obscene hand gestures at each other. The suspect then produced a gun and pointed it at the victim. Officers located the suspect vehicle and the suspect a short time later. Ryan Spector, DOB 3/8/1989, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to the area on report of a female in a vehicle using narcotics with an infant in the vehicle. Officers arrived and located the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located narcotics and paraphernalia throughout the vehicle. Defendant was arrested.

Employee of an apartment complex located a 1 1/2 year old juvenile wandering around in the parking lot unsupervised.  Officers learned that the mother had left the juvenile unattended in the apartment when she left to run errands then go to work.  The mother was arrested for Child Endangerment.

Officers responded to the listed address for a report of an unwanted subject.  Officers contacted the subject and he refused to leave, so they placed him under arrest for trespassing.  The defendant then became uncooperative by lying on the ground, refusing to stand up and get into the patrol vehicle.

Officers responded to investigate a past tense burglary. Officers arrived at the address and made contact with the Defendant who was running a yard sale where possible stolen property was being sold. The Defendant refused to identify himself upon contact. Officers attempted to detain him while they continued their investigation. The Defendant resisted being handcuffed. Defendant was found to have an unrelated warrant and was also arrested for the O&R.

The Defendant left her 4 month old child with a friend last night at approximately 2030 hours and said she would be gone for a few hours. The Defendant did not return and the friend was unable to reach the mother. The Defendant's 5 year old son was dropped off today at this same location by the Defendant's sister. The Defendant failed to leave clothing or food for the children and the friend was unequipped to care for the children.

The manager responded to an alarm at the business and discovered the glass door had been broken and merchandise was knocked off the shelves and on the floor. Total loss if any is unknown. The suspect is described as: Unknown race or gender, LSW a large black coat, green gloves and "Adidas" shoes.

0048North: Arrest - Unlawful to extract concentrated Cannabis/Unlawful to maintain a place for use of a controlled substance@1000 block Carlin Street.

Officers responded to a report of an explosion and learned the subjects had been the cause of the explosion. William Billings, DOB 1/5/1980 and Veronica Fitch, DOB 9/14/1976, were arrested on the above charges.

The suspect approached the employee, claimed to have a weapon and demanded money. The employee refused to comply and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as: W/F/A, mid forties to mid fifties, 5'4" tall, brown hair, thin build, LSW a long black puffy jacket.

The suspects had previously been trespassed from the business. They returned and damaged property, produced a gun and threatened employees, and became involved in a physical altercation with the victims. Christopher Anello, DOB 1/17/1980, was arrested on the above charges. Ryan Stein, DOB 5/26/1980, was arrested for Harassment, DOP, Trespassing.

2227Central: Arrest - Embezzlement of a Motor Vehicle/O&R/Traffic Violations@2000 East 2nd Street.

Officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on an occupied stolen vehicle when the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The driver then abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Emily Kever, DOB 2/14/1997, was arrested on the above charges.

Neighbors called regarding his escalating behavior.  They stated Adams had littered in their yard, including toilet papering their trees, and was charging at and yelling at passersby.  Adams left in his vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. He was detained without incident and booked / add booked on the listed charges related to his activity since last evening.

2040                       South: Burglary Arrest @600 blk W. Moana Ln

Officers responded to the listed address on an alarm call. Officers searched the business and located a locked employee bathroom. The Defendant exited the bathroom and was detained.

2227                       North: Burglary, Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, Obstructing and Resisting @2300 blk Dickerson

Officers responded for a reported domestic disturbance.  Officers found the apartment empty but the front door was kicked in as was both bedroom doors all with damage.  The apartment had large amounts of broken glass, ripped out light fixtures, flipped over desks and chairs throughout. While beginning their investigation, the Suspect returned to the apartment carrying the Victim's purse and other belongings. The Suspect was intoxicated and uncooperative but admitted he was in a fight with his fiancé. The Suspect gave a false name and attempted to pull away from Officers and was detained.

Officers responded for an alarm with motion detected inside. Once on scene, officers located a broken window large enough for entry. K-9 responded and searched the business with negative results. A blood trail was located leading out a rear door from the business back towards the front. Officers followed the blood trail back to a nearby motel and located the suspect.
