Officers observed an occupied parked vehicle with stolen plates on it. They made contact with the occupant and discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance. Andrew Dovichi, DOB 8/11/1987, was arrested on the above charges.

0227South: Arrest - O&R / PCS / CCW / Ex-Felon in Possession of Firearms @South Virginia Street & Brinkby Ave.

Officers conducted a stop for a traffic violation. During the investigation they discovered the suspect was in possession of firearms and a controlled substance. The suspect then attempted to flee. Daniel Garrison, DOB 6/10/1969, was arrested on the above charges.

Arielle Jacinto, DOB 2/22/1993, was arrested on the above charge.

1000Central: Arrest - Armed Robbery/O&R/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia @200 block South Wells Ave.

When the employee asked the suspect if he was going to pay for the merchandise that he had chosen the suspect displayed a gun and then fled the business. Officers located the suspect a short time later and discovered the gun was actually a toy replica. Brian Nye, DOB 8/9/1994, was arrested on the above charges.

0043North: Attempted Home Invasion@900 block Demos Court

The victims were home when they heard loud noises and discovered the suspect had attempted to kick down their front door before fleeing. The suspect is described as: B/M/A, late teens to early twenties, black afro, LSW a black windbreaker, blue jeans shorts and black and white basketball shoes.

Officers responded to an alarm and discovered a gate had been busted and a business vehicle had been stolen. There are no suspects at this time. The stolen vehicle is described as: 1997 Ford F-250 with Utility bed.

The victim and suspect were known to each other and been involved in an argument. The argument became physical and then the suspect produced an expandable Baton and struck the victim multiple times before fleeing. The suspect has been identified but is still outstanding.

The victims had agreed to meet up with the suspects to sell some property. When the suspects arrived one of them was armed with a gun and the others stole the victims property before fleeing. The suspects are only described as 3 B/M/A's, late teens to early twenties.

The victims heard noise coming from inside the residence and located an open window. When they approached the window a suspect reached in from the outside and yelled. The suspect then fled. The suspect is only described as a White adult male.

Officers responded to several reports of shots being fired. They located a victim who reported he was attacked by unknown suspects who shot at him and then stole his bike. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

Friday, May 1, 2020 0957                       Central: Child Endangerment/Neglect Arrest@60 blk Park St
Officers responded on a report of an unsupervised two year old in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officers learned the two year old was being supervised by the Defendant while the child's mother was at work. While on scene Officers located a second child sleeping on the bathroom floor.  Several open containers were found in the residence and the room was determined to be unkempt.  The Defendant was also determined to be grossly intoxicated

0006                       North: Child Endangerment X 2, O&R @1900 blk W 7th St.

Officers conducted follow-up and located a wanted Subject for Elder Exploitation and Abuse.  That Subject advised she was babysitting a 1 year old infant inside the residence, which had been condemned after a fire.  Officers checked the residence and located the infant and the infant's mother. The residence was clearly being lived in and the unsanitary conditions were unfit for the child, or adults.   The mother attempted to run away with the child through Officers.   One of the Officers retained the infant unharmed and the mother was taken into custody.

0231                       Central: DUI, ADW x 9@2000 blk E. 2nd St

Officers learned the suspect driver had met a female and both decided to meet at the suspect's residence. While there, the female stole a guitar from the suspect's house and left in a taxi cab. The suspect got in his truck and pursued the cab on the freeway. On the freeway, the suspect began ramming the taxi cab with his truck. Both vehicles turned into an entrance to a parking lot and the suspect rammed the cab with his truck a second time. When the cab driver exited the cab, the suspect veered his truck towards the driver in an attempt to strike him, but ultimately missed. The suspect then rammed the cab a third time while the two females were still inside. The suspect was arrested and charged for DUI and ADW x 9.

0639                       Central: BDW/ADW/DOP @Fishermans Park #1

Officers responded to the above location for a battery with a machete. During the investigation, officers learned the suspect approached the victim demanding he leave the park. The suspect began punching and kicking the victim. When the suspect failed to hurt the victim or get him to leave the park, the suspect retrieved a machete from his vehicle and began chasing and swinging the machete at the victim striking the victim once on his back causing a superficial cut and non life threatening. The suspect then caused damage to the victim’s vehicle.

2048                       Central: Arrest: Battery With A Deadly Weapon (2 Counts)@1400 blk East 4th Street

Officers responded on a report of a fight.  It was learned the suspect was upset about some loud music in the area, and incorrectly assumed it to be coming from the victims room.  The suspect armed himself with a large knife and confronted the male victim.  During a verbal altercation, the suspect cut the male victim twice on his abdomen.  The male victim's wife intervened, and was also cut by the suspect on her wrist.  All of the injuries were minor. The suspect was arrested for two counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

Officers responded to the above location for a domestic disturbance. During the investigation Officers located the suspect passed out on the bed. Officers located cocaine in the defendant’s pocket.

1006                       South: GTA/Felony Eluding x2 @600 blk S. Center

Officers responded to the above location for a GTA that had just occurred. While officers were checking the area, they located the stolen vehicle at Kietzke and Roberts. Officers attempted a traffic stop with the vehicle failing to stop and fled from officers at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was dumped by the suspect and he fled on foot. The suspect was located hiding in an open garage and arrested.

Officers responded on report of a domestic disturbance with multiple subjects involved.  Upon arrival, they found several subjects holding a single male subject on the floor. Officers arrested the male for Domestic Battery.

Officers responded on a report of a disturbing the peace.  The suspect was uncooperative and initially refused to meet with Officers.  The suspect eventually came outside and was arrested.

The victim and suspect were involved in a disagreement when the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the back. The victim's injury was non-life threatening. Amanda Proud, DOB 3/3/1994, was arrested on the above charge.

Officers responded to reports of shots being fired and discovered several casings. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

2359North: Home Invasion/ADW/DOP @3000 block Elliot Drive

The unknown suspects fired a shotgun through the front door of the residence. They then entered and fired additional shots. The victims were able to flee the residence. The suspects are only described as 2 Unknown race males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
