0914South: Arrest - Domestic Battery @South Virginia St.

Janae Rochelle, DOB 7/17/1992, was arrested on the above charge.

1650South: Arrest - ADW, Scissors / Battery / DOP@Bible Wy.

The suspect began damaging property and then armed himself with scissors and threatened the staff. The suspect, a juvenile, was arrested on the above charges.

1957South: Arrest - BDW, Broken Glass@Linden St.

The victim and suspect were involved in a confrontation when the suspect stabbed the victim with a piece of glass from a window she had just broken. The victim sustained minor injuries. Jwell Bartlow, DOB 9/26/1995, was arrested on the above charge.

2027Central: Arrest - ADW, Crowbar@2nd & Kietkze Ave.

The victim and suspect were involved in an argument when the suspect grabbed a crow bar and began swinging it while threatening the victim before fleeing. The suspect was located a short time later. Kang Talwinder, DOB 9/17/1993, was arrested on the above charge.

The victim was walking behind the suspect's vehicle as the suspect was backing up. Words were exchanged and the victim attempted to walk away.The suspect then exited his vehicle and struck the victim from behind with an unknown object knocking him unconscious. The suspect is described as: H/M/A, mid thirties, heavy build, short brown hair, glasses, LSW a blue and white striped polo style shirt, beige pants and white shoes.

The victim was escorting the suspect out of the business when the suspect produced a knife and threatened him. James Tollett, DOB 12/20/1970, was arrested on the above charge.

0050Central: Residential Burglary with Use of a Firearm / ADW@East 4th St.

The victim observed the suspect inside his room and confronted him. The suspect then displayed a gun and stole the second victims property before fleeing. The suspect is described as: H/M/A, 5'6" tall, skinny, sort buzzed hair, LSW blue shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Employees arrived to find a door had been forced open. Total loss is unknown and there are no suspects at this time.

Officers were taking the suspect into custody for Trespassing and Poss. of an Open Container when he became combative and kicked an officer. Markus Koffler, DOB 11/19/1980, was arrested on the above charges.

0416Central: Strong Armed Robbery@West & West 1st St.

The victim had agreed to meet the suspects at the above location in order to conduct a transaction. Upon arrival the suspect shoved the victim to the ground and stole his wallet. The suspects are described as: #1 H/M/A, LSW a blue Dodgers jersey and hat. #2 W/M/A, LSW a black button up shirt.

2150North: Strong Armed Robbery@Stead Blvd & Silver Lake Rd

The victim was approached by the suspect who asked for some money. When the victim pulled his wallet out in order to give the suspect some money the suspect grabbed the wallet and a struggle occurred. The suspect was able to take hold of the wallet and flee. The suspect is described as: B/M/A, late teens to early twenties, 6' tall, curly black hair, LSW a light brown shirt and pants.

0007North: Arrest - O&R / Robbery / Conspiracy to Commit Robbery@East 9th & Spokane St.

Officers conducted a stop for traffic violations and recognized the passenger as a wanted subject. When they confronted the suspect he gave them a wrong name. John Kenney, DOB 3/25/1997, was arrested on the above charges.

In separate calls, Reno Police had responded on the report of an unwanted subject who was acting strange, threatening employees, causing a disturbance, and trespassing.  Upon leaving a related call, officers were hailed about a subject walking down the middle of 4th St.  They contacted the subject who was immediately belligerant and attempted to walk away from officers back into traffic

Officers responded for a domestic disturbance and contacted both the male and female on scene. The female was intoxicated and began throwing items near the officers and was being uncooperative. The female was being detained in handcuffs and kicked one of the Officers.

Officers responded on the report of a trespasser refusing to leave the property and acting erratically. An RPD Officer was in the area and contacted the defendant who refused commands and walked away, remaining on property.  The defendant was told again to stop and turned, squaring off to the Officer.  The defendant approached the Officer in a fighting stance. The suspect was taken into custody and was in possession of methamphetamine.

1230Central: Arrest - BDW, Wood@East Second St. along the River

The victim and another subject were involved in an argument when the suspect intervened. He then grabbed a large piece of wood and began to beat the victim with it before fleeing. The suspect was located a short distance away and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Steven Edgar, DOB 8/2/1990, was arrested on the above charge.

0608              Central : Domestic Battery/Battery on Officer/O&R-800 blk Kuenzli Street

Officers responded to the above location on a trouble unknown.  Upon arrival, they heard a female voice inside crying for help.  Officers made entry and located the defendant sitting in the bathroom.  Officers attempted to determine if a crime had been committed when the defendant suddenly stood up, threw a water bottle at officers and charged towards them.

2007              Central: O&R - 4th / Evans

Officers responded to an intoxicated person and found arrestee Dennis Carlson in the roadway. Officers attempted to contact Carlson who then picked up two large pieces of construction debris. Officers ordered him to drop it, which he did and then walked away. Officers told Carlson to stop at which time he began to run away. Officers caught him and took him into custody.

An RPD Officer observed a male crossing against a Don't Walk signal. When the Officer attempted to contact the subject, the male fled. The Officer caught the subject after a short foot pursuit. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and two glass pipes. Subject also had 3 outstanding warrants.

The victims had made arrangements to meet with an acquaintance to sell some property. When the victims arrived at the location the acquaintance was there along with other subjects who began to batter them and then steal their property and cash before fleeing. The suspects are described as: #1 W/M/A, early twenties. #2 B/M/A, 5'10" tall, thin, short curly hair. #3 B/M/A, tall, thin.

A witness observed the suspect battering the victim but the suspect was gone upon Officers arrival. The victim's injuries are substantial but non-life threatening. The suspect is described as: Asian or Pacific Islander male, mid forties, 5'8" tall, 200 lbs., hair was curly and colored like salt and pepper.

The victims were seated inside their parked vehicle when the suspect approached and asked for money. When the victims said they had none the suspect got into their vehicle and produced a knife. One of the victims then retrieved his gun and the suspect fled. The suspect was located a short time later. Kalaika Carter, DOB 7/22/1987, was arrested on the above charges.

The suspect was observed breaking a window to a business and during the investigation the suspect admitted to several other DOP's and Burglaries. Brandon Garza, DOB 4/5/1988, was arrested on the above charges.

The suspects were seen exiting a vehicle and then entering the business. While in the business they stole several pieces of electronic equipment and then fled to a waiting vehicle. Total loss has not been disclosed. The suspect are only described as: 5 B/M/A's, LSW hooded sweatshirts. The suspect vehicle is described as: White Hyundai Accent.

1830                       South: Child Neglect- 4600 blk Sierra Madre Drive

A citizen called Reno Police and advised he found a 4 year old boy crying and scared outside his residence.  The boy advised his mother left him there and he was hungry.  Investigation revealed that the mother left the boy home to go to work and brought him food later in the day.  The mother arrived at the residence in the evening, after work, and was arrested for Child Neglect.

A citizen called saying the Defendant was seen climbing the drain pipe of the building.  RFD responded with a ladder and an open door was located.  The defendant was located in the building after a search with K9.

Reno Police responded when the neighbor said he saw two subjects enter a residence that is in probate.  Officers arrived and located the two defendants exiting the rear slider door.  Two juveniles were arrested.

An RPD Officer was in the area and observed a disturbance. He got out on the group and a female that was an involved party began to walk away. Another Officer responding to the call located the female and attempted to detain her.  The female was immediately uncooperative and physically resisted. She was placed in handcuffs and arrested

The Defendant engaged in a verbal argument with two females. During the argument the Defendant produced a pocket knife and threatened the females. Upon Officers arriving in the area, the Defendant refused to stop and speak and a foot pursuit ensued. The Defendant was taken into custody in the area with the knife still in his possession.

Defendant: Gray, Kyle 11/30/94 charged with 2 counts of Assault w/ a deadly weapon, O&R and an unrelated warrant.

The victim was approached by the suspect who suddenly began to batter him. The victim was able to get away and get inside his residence but the suspect attempted to kick the door in. Officers contacted the Defendant for an Open Container of Alcohol. It was learned the Defendant was a juvenile who was unable to contact a guardian. When Officers went to place her into custody she became physically uncooperative, striking them multiple times with a closed fist.
